IOSH Working Safely

This course is designed to ensure individuals within an organisation understand their health and safety responsibilities in the workplace. It is designed for employees within an organisation looking to enhance their awareness of working safely responsibilities.

Working Safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing a grounding in the essentials of health and safety.

Working safely is recognised as an equivalent to a level 1 award in health and safety in a construction environment. This means that delegates who successfully complete it can apply for a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) green labourer card once they’ve passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Operatives Test.

IOSH Managing Safely

This course is designed for supervisors and managers to provide the knowledge and tools to tackle health and safety issues in the modern workplace, plus anyone in a role with supervisory or managerial responsibility.

Managing Safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation. It’s designed to get managers up to speed on the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams.

Risk Assessment Principles and Practices

Employers and the self employed have a legal duty to assess the risks to the health and safety of all who may be affected by what they do in the workplace. This one course ensures that anyone involved has the depth of understanding to carry out the risk assessment process.

Fire Warden

The course is for employees who have a responsibility for fire safety in the company and who need the Fire Wardens Certification. The course will cover the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations and will give individuals the knowledge to understand the procedures of dealing with a developing fire, the role of the warden, carrying out risk evaluations, implementing evacuation procedures and overall fire safety and prevention skills.

NEBOSH qualifications are recognised by the relevant professional membership bodies including the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

Examinations and assessments are set by professionally qualified staff assisted by external examiners; most of whom are Chartered Safety and Health Practitioners operating within industry, the public sector or in enforcement.

Manual Handling

This course is designed for those who carry out manual handling at work, providing essential information about manual handling hazards and their control. The aim of the course is to provide the individual with the knowledge required to minimise the risks associated with manual handling.

Practical exercises provide the opportunity to apply the principles of safer handling.

Working at Height

This safety training course is specifically designed for anyone whose job requires them to work at height, and which involves them using the necessary height safety equipment to do this work safely.

This course can also benefit the supervisor or manager responsible for individuals working at height and looking for a basic understanding to better appreciate the activity to control the process safely.

Confined Spaces

A confined space exists where there are access issues, an expectation of a specified risk and escape breathing apparatus must be taken in. This course prepares individuals with the knowledge and skills to deal with situations effectively.
